GreenR — Vertical farming software
The future of vertical farming software solution is almost here!
So, vertical farming huh?
Well yeah, but not quite. Vertical farming has been around for a long time now and people are getting hyped. That’s a good thing. Actually, an amazing thing! But has someone ever thought of how to simplify this complicating process involving hardware and a LOT of science to figure out the optimal conditions and nutrients to grow excellent produce?
That’s where GreenR comes in. A tablet/mobile/desktop web-based app that enables the operator (employee) and the manager/director/president/CEO to interact and appreciate real-time data on how the company is working and how much it’s actually producing.
With real-time reports and tower/product interaction, the user can practically control the output of the product, the production ratio of the tower, and ultimately, the efficiency of the company.
By creating a design system, I was able to replicate components throughout the entire wireframe design on the tablet and mobile app. Enhancing by far my work-flow.
By augmenting the experience of the operator (employee) of value analysis of the plants/crops/products, they are able to optimize their decision making and fast-tracking crop production with better quality and in record time.
Through a digital plant recipe, the personnel would be greeted with pre-designed weather conditions and nutrient values for the optimal plant growth and ultimately — product flavor & quality.
When a crop is selected and sent to a production tower, the employee can edit the weather conditions in real-time to create different variations of the same product. Staff can view production progress and optimize the work-load by all being in perfect sync.
The managing position that handles staff and has the diligence of sending production reports can also view real-time data through their mobile app. They can see every movement and every production badge done by each individual operator. This way, the whole team works seamlessly and effectively as possible.
We all know that global warming is real and is hitting our planet faster and harder than we anticipated. The food production must increase by 70% so that when we have more than 9.8 billion people on earth, we can feed them all. This will only be achieved if we turn our food production practice into a vertical format and start implementing the available technology that we have right now.
